My dear Daugther Louise.

            Yours so very welcome letter of Jan 3. was recived last Tuesday and we were glad to hear from you. your Dad and Arthur just went to town and so s I am along home for a few hours It is 2 p m and I want to answer your letter and send it with our mailman when he comes this afternoon. This last week have been a funny week for me the weather been milder so I have taken advantage of it and been out gadding every day I begun last Monday and keept it upp untill last evening I been down to F.Os, two days, to Ada one day, out Teaching one day and upp to Ormonds ½ day Sister Ormond been very ill had two Dr atending her she has harttroubble  and Bronchitious she been sick in bed for 3 weeks but it is getting better now I never knew about her being sick untill last Tuesday when Ada told me. Hellie is here from Idaho taken care of her Mother.

            Yeas we have sure had some very cold weather here it was for 9 days and nigths in a row that the termonitor [thermometer] showed 16 below Zers, and yeas we had a blizzard Dec 31st but not sleet we had hard frozen show along with the blizzard, we have stood the winter pretty well so far our cows are all dry now so we dont have milk to send and so we dont need to go outside untill about 9 p m and some days your Dad dont go out untill 10 30 a m

            your new ralations must have a lot of monny sending you such wonderful and so many valuable gifts for x mas and I hope you will live long and be well so to enjoy all thoose nice things. I feel very greatful for all the nice present I recived but I feel very very little in given. I thank you ever so much for sending us the Oakland Branch x mas Program it must have been a very swell affair and I am glad to hear Floyd enjoyed ti and by him enjoying it your joy was doubble. I showed the Program to Rose Nyman one evening when she came in to see us and she said she knew some of the men who that was on that program and have heard them here at the BYC. I am glad you sends us the little clipping so we will know Joes rigth addrass rigth along for a while I had a letter written to Joe and ready to mail to him when I got the clipping so I changed the addrass to New Orleans LA. For San Fransisco % Postmaster I guess after to morrow his addrass will be Ney [New] York % Postmaster.

            I am sorry the head cheese got spoiled on you and I wish you had throwed it in the garbage can instead of given it to Mrs Israelson when it did not smells good. I am sorry that I have not got around and about sending you the pillow yet but I guess and hope it vont be but a few days untill I will wake upp and get to work and send it.

            I am glad that Kels case is settled so far and I know Kels is a much happier men dead than alive as he has now paid his life for the crime but I sure sympatize with his vife and I hope that she will be able to have courage to live and take care of her children.

            I am glad you have heard from Grace and I guess you have now also heard from F.O. and Annie and recived Arthurs picture to I know I mailed it to you. I have not heard from Grace for two weeks I know she is peeved at me because I have not come to visit her but goodness me and the Lord knows how lonesome I am and how much I like to go but if we have patience I think it vont be very long untill I can go no one knows how tied down I am rigth here at home rigth now so I guess and hope Grace will exuse me.

            the mailman is in sigth and I wonder if he will have a letter from you. I hope you are well give my love to Floyd and to every body ha ha. if thoose films is any good plaese let me borrow to have one finished Audrey like to have one picture of me that is taken recently.
