[Letter from Mrs. Arthur, enclosed with Caroline’s 11 Oct 1924 letter to Louise.]

                                                                                    Livermore Calif

                                                                                                Oct 6 – 1924

Dear Mrs Peterson –

I have just been looking over my old letters and find your letter of the 29th of June, time I was making you a little visit by mail. We are all well and moved over to Livermore the 18th of June and have had to live in the hotel as there isn’t any houses or apartments to be had here, just a very small town.

I have not heard from Louise since I called her over the phone when I was over to Oakland and visited some friends in June, and was going to spend a week with here, but by way she talked she didn’t have time and room for me to visit here, and she never writes to me. I suppose she has been home by now.

We have started buying a home [?] in Oakland but are going to move over there and take charge of the place the first of next month. I surelly be glad, It is a new five room modern bungalow, hardwood floors living room has fire place book cases, [?] desk build in. Dining room had built in buffet, has a hall between the two bedrooms bath room off of hall with linen closets off here, shower bath, nice cloths closets off both bed rooms. kitchen has tiled sink, nice laundry with stationary wash tubs. lovely yard, side walks all in Anna Frye doesn’t have far to go to school We have run arround so much that it will seem mighty good not to have to move.

Well how have you been this summer? We have been well so far, suppose you are fixing for winter there now. I had a letter from Rogan this morning and said it had been raining there also her Sunday, it rained all day. It has been so dry that every one was so delighted to see it rain. Anna Faye had grown so much, so tall, she thinks so much of Louise, talks of her many times. How is Grace and family, also Frank and his family? And is Mr Peterson well? I was glad to hear you nephew got to come and see you this summer. I guess you will be coming out to Calif to visit Louise before very long again, Then I will be in Oakland and you can visit me.

Anna Faye says kiss Grandma Peterson for her. She remembers you just as well as if she just saw you.

Well as I am tired and sleepy I will bring this letter to a close, hoping these lines find you well and to here from you soon. Walt and Aura Faye say hello.

            With lots of love.

                        The Arthurs
