Dear Lou and Floyd
How are
you by now its fine and Shiney today, and it Looks like spring as aproaching we
had a snowstorm Wednesday nigth and to day is Sat and a few Patches Left on the
ground yet, well you Folks cannot all ways keep the Sun in your Country so you
will have to Share up with us farther north. She is (Sun) comming Closer Every
morning. She will soon shine on us in bed it was 8 50 this morning when i
Strowed [throwed?] the cover back and Jumped out of bedd I feel better now i
work about 5 hours a day with wood Abie Cut 6 big trees down We gott a
nice little Halstein heifer Calf the other night so now wil have plenty milk
and butter in 4 weeks when our other Cow has a Calf mebe we ill sell milk and
we got two nice Pigs weigh about 75 Pounds apais [apiece] or so they will make
fine kiling in December so look for another Box of meat and Chicken before
Chrismas Early to give notice i suppose—
it will
not hurt you if i tell you we eat Fresh eggs now our Chickens lay good now. I
expect you have to use stale Egg in the Bay bitties but you see we are in the
mountains and dont get much fish like you People.
