Mebe I will answer Mrs Arthurs letter some day but I know better then to say anythinga bout what have transpired between you and her, and I vont tell for all the world that Grace lives in Berkeley then I know how brown Grace would look and how worried she be to have Mrs Arthur come and sit and wait to be waited on & if she founds out it is not going to come through me.

your Dad is sawing wood and Arthur went a fishing to day. I am so glad our pumps are cleaned and fixed up the water in the wells are as clear as crystal and have a good taste to it I am going to Wash again to morrow. We got an awful time to keep the flyes out as it is chillie outside and the[y] cluster on the screendoor and watches their change [chance] to get in and when the[y] smell cooking they are worst then ever, we have wore the fly swatter entirly out and bougth onother that makes three fly swatters for this season have you any flyes, I guess not how is the fleece treaten you by this time, theere is still a few mosquitos alive here.
