My dearest Baby Daugther Lovis.
It is
not my turn to write but I will write to you anyway for old times sick. [sake]
I wonder how you feel now and how you are to day I have dreamt about you six
nigths in sugsession last Friday nigth I
dreamed I saw you go down on a skjut a skjut [sliding a slide]. We had onother
big elecktric storm here last evening east mountains now and it is big dark
clouds all around this Velley the elements is sure in an uppror. F.O. came out
this forennon and got a sack full off apples Loui was with him loui dont grow one
but he is getting smaller if anything Shirley will beat him she is to cute for
words she gets upp by chairs and walks around she gets manny hard bumps but she
dont get disscourage she gets up and tries again and she smiles all the time.
Annie is having her teeth fixed and some got to be pulled she had a swelled jaw
to day FO said and did not feel very good so she did not come out.
I wish I
had some rigth good News to tell you but I have none but as I got some more bad
News I will tell them, Joseph Swenson was getting buried this afternoon I like
to had went to his funeral but it was held at Mendon so it was to far for me to
go. I have enclose some clippings about the Flood at Willard, All the Fergusons
been down to see it and the[y] say that no tounge [tongue] can tell how awful
it looks theere is 20 feet high of debris and mud on peoples property and the
railroad and other roads are all blockaded the[y] are working to make a road
through it wide enouph so to pass and it will take onother week before the[y]
can do it.
I put up
7 qot [qt] of tomatoes yesterday and I picked a dish pan full of vines this
forenoon and I shall put them up to morrow if I am well and can do it. We got
the loveleiest Astrican apples this year I am going to have Abie pick some off
them from the trees to morrow and take them to town see if I can sell them in
trade to the stores, Abie went a fishing this afternoon I hope he brings home a
big mess of fish he went fishing a week ago and he cauth fish enouph for 3
meals for us three who are the only ones that is here now the Tremontons been
here again to day and Gilbert was with them to day he is sure a naice [nice]
man been where he learned how to act and he sure got some manners. Isabell is
going to teach some place around Blackfoot Idaho.
Well my
dear Lovis I have manny things in my thaugths but whats the good of me writting
them all or any of them all I think I would I guess if I thaugth it would do
any good, I shall now close I hope you dont forget your prayers and goes to bed
without thanking the Lord for His blessings and ask Him to contenue His
blessings to us and to forgive us our sin and shortcommings and proteckt us
from all evil so long with Love yours so humble a Mother
