My dearest Daugther and Baby Lovis
If you can
believe me or not I have miscounted the days in this last week when Dessie
Nyman came to ask me to go teaching then I found out about the days so I
thauath if I write thanksgiven day then theere is no Mailman and if I write
Friday then Lovis will not get it untill Monday so I decided I write to day I
wish you would know this to day for I know you was looking for a letter this
morning.
I have
recived your welcome letter that you wrote last Sunday I am glad you think off
me wherever you are and I am to thankful to hear you are feeling find it sure
is the greatest gift we have when we have health and strength.
We enjoyed
Thanksgiven dinner FO and family came home at 10 a m Annie had made the best
Pumpkin pie and a big fruitpudding before they came and she fetched it with her
off course I knew she was to bring it we clubbed togather and I was to furnish
the rest I was sure a buisy woman for a while and the dinner was ready at 12 30
A m and as we were all were both hungry and tired so we were glad to have
dinner early your Dad and F.O. Washed the dishes after dinner while Annie and I
talked and watched the childfen I was dissapointed because Grace could not come
home. our dear Joseph of old been here for dinner to day he came to help Dad
haul straw for to put on the boards above or between the stable and the roof so
to keep the cold out from the animails, FO’s finger is much better now so he
chopped a lot off wood this morning to last us for two a three days theere was
a Federal Dr at the AC that took care off FO’s finger.
O no Lovis
I rather make the quilt if you plaese have patience with me you know how pokie
I am and the time seeme to fly away so quickly you better bring thoose quilting
frames back to Sister McKay before she will ask you for them.
Your Dad
have seeme to feel some better for the last two or three days he has been more
quite and had more sleep. I got a pretty Thanksgiven card from Mrs Arthur I
shall now write to her pretty soon.
O dear me
Lovis I sure got a swell compliment to you from Mrs Anna Kemp she meet me at
Metting last Sunday and asked me how you were and she told me to give you her
best Love when I wrote to you she said the Lewiston people Miss you verry much
and that she told her thy never had had a Teacher in Lewiston like you and
never will have one except you will come back and the regret very much to have
to loose you.

dearest Lovis I am glad I have in my ignorants and dum appearance in your
husbaunds fevor and I hope I will always be I know he is in mine I know Floyd
and you must of meet and married for the Lords own and vise purpose and May the
Lord bless you now and for ever

P.S. the San Fransisco Chronicle came last Wednesday Thank
you ever so Much I have now got your place by the stove and the cubbert of the
evenings and while your Dad reads the Chronicles I stir with my rag sacks.
