Dearest Lovis
It is 3 p m I just been out
to the mailbox and mailed a handful of letters and cards and I recived one
letter from you I was glad to hear you was alrigth your Dad been away all day
he left this morning tosee about baying [buying] a cow from a man in town but
he have not got back yet so I been home alone to day and that is what gave me a
good change [chance] to write and to answer a few letters that I have recived
soo I
see Annie been telling tails out of school, Well I dont want to think I have
rheumatism, you know I have tried to keep upp the work and at times I been very
tired and been oblige to sit or lay down sometime and as you know how my left
leg gets on a strike onece in a while, so dont worrie and I know there is
nothing the matter with my kidneys but it migth be some thing the matter with
my hart ha ha
The
Relif Sosity is having a birthday party this afternoon down to the Old Lady
Larson I was invited but I did not go I dont like to runn to much and then I
was up to Lydia Wilhelms yesterday to a quilting bee so that enauph going for
me for a while, We are having onother cold storm here it have now snowed and
blowed ever since last Monday afternoon, this morning there were two inches of
ice on the water in the tub your Dad left in he gives the animails water in so
I guess it will be a late spring here after all,
We have
got some new neabors James Nyman have moved to the poor farm he is working
theere for the College and a family from Idaho have come and moved into James
place. Sarah, James vife gave birth to a baby boy yesterday morning that means
four children if not five for them. Brother Darling is very poorly now Drusilla
and the boys are home br Darling been sick in bed for five weeks it sure be a
blessing if he now cold pass away soon. I have been down to see him and he
looks very thin and pale, their daugther Lissie is in San Fransisco and she is
working theere in some café.
I wonder
where Joe is by now I hope he is alrigth were ever he is. Arthur is not home he
is farming below Smithfield he figures on going back to Malad if she comes down
next Sunday but I hope he vont stay and work where he is,
Well is
it drawing near to schoer [chore] time your Dad is not here yet sa I shall go
and do schoers and finish this letter to morrow

It is
nearly time for the mailman to come so I shall write a few more lines I am
washing to day, our Dad did not get to bay [buy] any cow he went into Uncle
Sjostroms instead and he did not come home untill 7 30 p m I had the schoaers
[chores] done all but to milk when he came I guess I better close exuse me for
writting in such a hurry
