My dearest Girls Grace & Lovis
As it is
the Armistic day to day I do not know if the mailman will come to day or not
but in case he will come I shall write a few lines and sand with him to you.
This morning at 6 F.O. came to tell us that a big boy arrived to their home an
5 a m this morning. F.O. said Annie was sick for 3 hours this time from 2 to 5
F.O. said it is a big baby its head seems to be as big as Louises now. F.O.
said both Louis and Shirly got avoke by the exitment Louis he would not look at
the baby but Shirly she wanted her Dad to let the baby have this watch to play
with F.O. was so plaesed he also said Annie was feeling pretty good. Cora and
Gorgia was with them at the time and F.O. was going to Wellsville when he left
here for to get a lady they had engage to come and work for them while Annie is
sick I am sick to see the baby but I guess I better wait untill tomorrow. I was
to see Annie yesterday and she was buissy baking bread and you could tell in
every corner of her house what she expeckted as it was as clean as a pin. Dr
Eliason told F.O. his new son was a prize figther as he screamed and fought
with his fists and arms about 15 minutes after he were born.
When I came
from town last evening I expeckted to have a letter from you Grace but No Sir
Nothing doing but here was a letter from Joe, the Idaho was about to anchor at
the harbor on the 6th of Nov at Bremerton Washington he was well and
still kicking he askeds me how Berkeley was as he had not heard since you got
there. I also got a card from Elsie and I shall send it for you to see the
News. We had a fearful storm here the nigth between Sunday & Monday it
ligthning awfully hard and ended up on a big snowstorm and it snowed all nigth
and all forenoon yesterday but cleard up in the evening and turned cold as in
December our kitchen windows was covered with ice this morning.
We are all
as usual no worse or no better. Your Dad is fixing up a place for to clean a pig
on that we expekts to kill to Morrow I or we like to send you a test [taste]of it and some springers if you
think it will keep and vont spoil before it reaches you and if you will pay the
express if you think it pays for you I am ashamed to ask you to pay the xpress
but I hope that we canpay the express another year. Now let us know rigth soon
before we cure it all it is cold enough on this end of the road but as I have
said write quick and tell us what you
think I would be so glad if it would keep as I want you to have something from
home.
I am
wrapping up the Hymnbook & will mail it to day. I suppose you got my letter
asking you to both sit down and sing the Song on Page 106. Br Carl M. Nelson
gave it out in our last fast meeting and it gave me joy and comfort and
encourage me to be faithful and true.
Haw is your
husbaunds I send them my love I hope you are all well Kiss the children for me
I wonder if we will hear from you to day. I shall addrass this letter to 1624
Lincoln so if Grace is not at 1635 Virginia I will ask you Lovis to Phone to
Grace and tell her the News and then you can talk the rest over between
yourselfs and then let us know what you think I guess I better close this
letter now if so the mailman do come to day I will have it ready but be4 I
close I want to say to you that I love you all from the bottom of my hart and I
dont know if it is god luck or bad luck for us to live so far apart but at
times I feel very lonesome and would like if I could fly down theere to talk to
you Well as we can not decide it got to be as it is
