My dear Baby Lovis It is 2 p m I just got through writting a letter to Grace so you see you always comes to be the last but not the least ha ha.

A very happy New Year to you all We recived the nice x mas box from Berkeley Dec 27 and we thank you ever so much for the nice presents the dress fits me to the T and it is sure what I needed and before I now forget I will ask you if I can lend the pattern you made it from and will promise to take care of it and send it back to you. I thaugth I make my gray dress over the one you know that Annie had one of the same material only her dress was red we earned the monny for thoose dresses in Bannock from Joe Jensons and Minnie made them so you have moved and as such you must feel much stronger and better as your Dad been telling me you are buissy straigthening your things and house up.

I can not remember if I have answered your last letter or not but it seemes quite a while since I hear direkty from you. Grace was telling me what a nice and jolly time you had being togather to Gust and Graces at x mas if you read your Dads letter that I have wrote to him and shall mail this afternoon you will know where Abie and I were at at x mas F.O. and Annie had a lovely x mas tree and Frank went upstairs and got dressed up in Santa Claus suit and he made a big noise comming down stairs and Annie told the children to listen as Santa Claus was comming down through the chimney, Frank looked fine he have had a little table made for the children and Gorgie have made a cover for it and F.O. came in the front room carien this table in front of him and he had a sack on his back with a nice set of aluminum dishes in and he set this table and the got each a nice little new red chair to sit on by this table and when F.O. had the table set and the children seated he told them to shake hands with him and say thanks and goodby as he was in a hurry to go and see Dallie & Ireene and after F.O. was gone Louis came to me to tell me that Santa Claus had left them to go and see Dallie and Irene in California but he be back next x mas.

Annie and F.O. got some nice x mas gifts I gave them a picture with twon cupies on it looked real nice. You should have seen how buissy Louis and Shirly got with all them things the invited their Uncle Max and Anderson to sit up at their table to eat each time they came in all the while I was down theere. F.O. and Annie have sure got the best x mas gift of any the baby is growing big, fat, and pretty he smile now when anyone speaks to him and he is as good as gold he sleeps and nurses and is a well as well can be and Annie is looking and eating well. I see Mrs Martin gave Grace the same as I sent her and I am glad you all meet at Graces and Gust place, When you write tell me what all you got for x mas I feel ashamed because I was and am to poor to send you something nice but mebe I will be rich someday, have your Dad been to church since he came to Berkeley? how do you feel about the earthquake? I suppose I must close if I want this letter mailed as I can see the mailman a comming near, but see you must have one Pa and one Ma in your bunch I guess Floyd is Pa and Grace is Pa for all of you ha ha and Grandma is snowed in at Logan Utah. so long with Love o all and thanks thanks for everything. Your Mother C J. Peterson

P.S. hand each other my letters for this turn to read as you all likes to know different things and it is no use to write the same to all so here it goes by. Love & x ses.
