Dearest Lovis.

It is now 1 15 p m and I would like to send a letter to you with the mailman this afternoon so I must now drop my work and write, your letter written Feb 17  and Joes letter enclosed been recived I am glad you are well and are having a god time in the sunny California. The sun is shining a bright and warm here to to day but we had a snowstorm here last Wednesday but as the ground is not froze so when the sun shined on it it did not took long before the snow were all melted so now we have mud.

your Dad and I have had lots of kick reading in the Chronicles we noticed thoose Photos you had written on the[y] are sure beautiful pictures and the[y] sure cost a lot of monny to I wonder if not Guy Rose works in this Mr Martins studio or where about he works, he is in San Fransisco I know. Well now when I am talking pictures I will ask you if you have recived an old picture of me that I sent you sometime ago?

F.O. and family was out here all day yesterday as it was a holy day F.O. did not work we had a swell dinner and after noon coffee and cake. we have a new calf it was born last Wednesday Morning a little heafer calf. the cow gives a nice mess of milk we will not sell it this mounth as we expeckts onother cow to come in soon and then if we have luck we shalk sell the milk beginning in April. so your Relif Sosity at Oakland branch had some extra work for the Officers to do at the Sunday school convention Did Clyde Lindsay got surprised to see you I bet he enjoyed the launch [lunch] you folks served as I know he likes to eat. how far does he lives from Berkeley or Oakland and what does he do at Palo Alto?

I wonder how that little jap girl is that got struck by an auto? I hope she did not have to suffer to much I have heart that Olif Cronquist has now leased all his land to the state or for the A.C. for the next 10 years for $60,000 and he is now building a new big barn where his old one stood I suppose the College will have all kinds of animals in that barn.

Thank you for sending me Joes letter and the snap picture I had to lauph when I noticed he had forgoten to butten up his pants, I guess he went back on sending the allotment thinking he would need the monny on that trip he’s now on. he has never mentioned anything about it in his letters. when you write tell me something about the Hendersons. will Israels be comming home soon?

I will close with Love your Mumsie (Mother)

I will write more next time. so long my dearest C.J. Peterson
