My dear daugther Lovisa.

It just now whistle 12 in Logan we did not got up untill late this morning so I just got through with the morning work I been loafing for the last two days I went to sister Johnsons funeral last Sunday F.O. came and got me in his car and he went to the funeral to and after the meeting we went home to F.O’s Annie had dinner ready so we ate and visited and played with the children the rest of the afternoon and then F.O. took me home at 6 p m and yesterday I was out teaching and last evening Your Dad, Arthur & myself went up to meeting and now to day I will visit with you in my imaganation. Your letter of Feb 7 was recived yesterday and we where [were] all so glad to hear from you we expeckted to hear from you last sarturday but got dissapointed.

We got nice weather here to now the sun is shining warm through theese south double windows and I now have the blind to ward the east half way pulled down the snow is melting eveyr fast we did not have any of that blizzard or storm you guessed we had we only had it snowing here for one day & nigth. but it came quietly and then the snow did not stay on the ground very long it melted quickly you wonder at hos school out here is comming. I belive it’s been comming fine untill just here lately some of the older boys been telling dirty jokes & yarns to the younger girls and so the Juevile Officers was up theere yesterday but I dont know how it turned out. Miss M. Nebuker asked me to be sure to come and see her so when I see her I will found out where Leila teaches I understood she was teaching at Jordan west of Salt Lake.

It is drawing close to the time when Abie suppose to leave for Fourt Sill but I dont belive theere is anything to his going I have asked F.O. to go to the headquarters and of the N.H. G. and found out some thing aboit it and he said he would. Joe have told me to talke to Arthur and encourage him to Join the Navy next summer when he comes home on a furlough and I belive if Arthur will do that it be good for him. but as you know he has a bad ear mebe he will not pass the examination. I dont know if it is the regular armie he has joined or not but F.O. will find out and if so we will do all we can to stop him of going.

You asks why is it arranged so that we can not enjoy one anothers company why my dear girl it was your own choice and you know where Floyd were practicing and of course you had to live were [where] he was practizing but I hope you will not any farther away then you now are any way as long as I live.

I am glad you have had Mrs Arthur come to see you I am owing her a letter and so I guess I will write to her one of theese evenings, how are they now and what does Anna Faye looks like by this time? Dear me I bet Mrs Arthur enjoyed eating all thoose swell things you had ready for launch [lunch] and I wonder if she mentioned my name while she was having coffee? here is your Dad for his dinner so I will stop writting and wait on the men I have a nice pork roast in the oven and everything is done just to set the table and put the food on it I wonder if you can smell the roast on the paper?
