Dearest Lovis Your dear and welcome letter written May 29
been recived and we thank you ever so much. It is now noon hour we had our
dinner and your Dad just now left for town to pay our water tax so I am here
all along and I will stop to talk to you for a while I been bisy all forenoon doing
all kinds of od[d] jobs and are tired already. yesterday I was visiting the sick but as theere is so
manny sick in Our ward I did not get around to but a few of them as theere is
sick children in every home, Verna is almost better now she is upp but she
looks bad, Ellies all 3 children are sick in bed with the measels Ivalo has an
awful cauph along with the Measels. Sister Ormond is sick in bed the Dr been
out several times he came out this morning at 8 30 she had a bad hart and she is getting dropsical the Dr says it
is a very lingering sickness, I hope she will soon get well as I dont know what
I will do without sister Ormond our good neabor.
I
got all kinds of News to tell you and I will begin telling you that last Monday
Vanda Nyman runn away and got Married to a Lawrenson in Preston, her Parents
did not knew a thing about it,
last
Sarturday I saw Miss M. Nebeker in town and she told me that Darold Merrill
runn away from home last fall and been gone all winter without his Mother knew
where he was and he just returned here the other week or day. Edla Dallof is
dead she been sick for a long time and been in a S Lake hospital she had female
complaint she was buried a few days ago. Sister Hopkins is leaving for Los
Angeles next Monday and she is going to leave the little girls with Barbara and
Wales here to batch it. Well I dont care just so Gorge will stay Away for I am
actual scared to death of that boy.
Well
Lovis from what I now have told you shows that the very best of poeple have
troubble and worrie. I been thinking then what can be expeckted of me and for
me to have but then again I think well the Lord knows my hart and that it is
not my fault that Arthur runn Away.
I
am thankful to God that He inspiried you to write such comforting letter to me or
to Your Dad & I. We have both read it through several times and last nigth
we read it togather as we were ready to
go to bed, I am sorry you been sick and had Dr Hector to cometot see you, I
guess you soon got better as you said you were going to Moss Wood Park
Decoration Day. Well how is Vanettea Did she come to your place while she was
waiting for to be strong enouph to work, and was she in Moss Wood Park on
Decoration Day. Mebe I will go upp to Kings this afternoon to se[e] Elisas
[Elsa’s] baby. I am glad you feel like keeping on doing the secretarial work I
can assure you that with – [no other
