My dear son Floyd

I am glad to hear your lard helped to make your pie taste good. I hope you had a good good Thanskgiven Day. Mebe so you had company or else was invited out for Thanksgiven dinner.

I exspecktes to hear from you this afternoon I hope I do because I am very lonesome, My first thougth this morning when I awoke was off you and your kindness to me while I was with you and I pray and wish I can live for the one reason if it be my prevelage to return it to you I sure enjoyed my stay even if we spent some off the time by the sick bed.

We got an inch off snow on the ground here this morning and when we walk on it it makes the awfullest noise it says crack crack crack every step we take so we got winter in full sway.

Dearest Floyd plaese be on the look out when you are out on your calls and you are in a hury so you vont get runn over and get killed or hurt I like California better if it was lesser trafic excuse all my misstakes I know you will when I tell you I have not had one day off school in this new world America.

With Love as ever your Momma
