My dear Baby Lovis
It is only
6 30 a m and I have had my coffee I am glad it is getting day light earlyer so
I can get upp without being afraid of burning the ligths, It is snowing heavy
this morning and theere is a lot of snow on the ground before so we have now a
second winter and need a big coal fire in the stove all day long. We recived
two envelopes full off writting from you yesterday and was sure glad to get it
as it being the first we have had this week I hope you are well now and I guess
you are now a snoozing in each others arms. I am sorry you had to have your
wisdom tooth pulled but hope you will now have peace for your toothache and for
everything else how did your eye examination turned out in what condition is
your eys now? I am glad you sent Joes letter for us to read I wonder if he is
on his way comming back to West, he had also wrote to us and told us about the
$30 alottment and we are sure glad as FOs compensation is now stopped and he
works for wages $30 a week at the Auto Suply Co in Logan, he had not heard
anything about thre alst Drs examination he had in Salt Lake. I promised Annie
I would come in this last week but it have been to stormy so I did not go I
thaugth I go in to day but now it storms worst than ever
F.O. came
out last Thursday nigth at 9 30 p m to see why I did not come in and it snowed
and blowed so hard he said he could not hardely see his way up from the main
road and the snow water runned down in streams from his cap and he was freezing
I viped his face and made coffee and Grace had just sent us a box in the
afternoon previous of coffee rools ands doughnuts so F.O. and his Dad had
coffee and doughnuts and it was 10 30 whe F.O. returned home he said Annie
wanted him to go out to see how we were I or we sure apriciate you children are
sure good to us only I wish you did not lived so far away but I am glad you intend
to come home this summer your Dad said when he read your letter for me to tell
you theere is plenty off room here to for company and for you not to plan on
any one of us to go back with you it cost or takes what we dont have to travel
and when we do travel it takes what we need to live on and we have to suffer or
do without what we really, as you already knows what our income amounts to.
We are
thankfull we are as well as we are I belive your Dad feels better than I do he
had a terefic apetite and he sleeps well at nigths and he have his naps pretty
regular in the afternoons when sitting by the stove a reading the Chronicle.
you need not worry about thoose aprons I know I got them even if they are at
your place I know how the time goes. I wonder how Mr. & Mrs Arthur are
enjoying to ride in their car since you told me they bougth a car I have ever
so many times thaugth of the time when Mr Arthur took you and Grace down to
Logan in Graces car and what could of happen. Your Dad is now calling for his
coffee so I guess I better go and give it to him and write more after a while.

p m Arthur is getting ready to go to town he says he goes to the Armory and
works at the guns you know they are now using the pavilion for the National
Home Guard station I guess the boys willl go to Camp Lewis this next summer,
wich Camp is your Floyd going to this summer does he knows yet? Arthur feels
awful blue when he reads your letters and theere is not a line or two direckt
to him he even gets the blues and cryes after he went to bed last he ready your
letter nigth I could him a sniffling so I turned on the light and theers he was
crying because you always brag about Joe and his is not even mentioned I told
him that is not so because you always begin your letters with Ma, Dad &
Abie so the letters is for him as well as for us.

your Floyd is sure a good man and now have vulentar to work for the goverment
it is the way to be great to serve others I pray to God every day to bless him
and you and that the Spirit of God will touch Floyds hart and give him a desire
to obey the Gospel and its principles wich leads to eternal salvation Floyd
have no repentance to do only the unbelive theere for I pray God will give him
faith as faith is a gift of God and gives it ta all and have no respeckt to
person who asks the Lord for it who dont keep no good gifts away from us, it
would sure be a pitty if you two should have to some day part when theere is a way provided
of the Lord for you to live togather. May God bless you to this end I ask it in
the name of our beloved Saviour Jesus Christ Amen.

dont hide the light wich is the testamony God have given you in under a basket
but let it by your actions shine brigth and clear. I shall now close with ten
