                                                Malad Idaho July 22—1923

Dear Lovis

            We left Logan last Friday evening at 7.30 and got to Malad at 10 30 p m we found the folks all in bed we where glad to see each other, We are all well but Grace dont feel at all well she is working to hard have moved and then all other work besides she been obliged to hire a girl to work in the store I recived a letter from you last Friday afternoon and one of my letter that I have written to you was returned I know by the way you wrote that you was not getting all my letters. I am sure sorry to hear you been sick and in bed but I hope you are feeling better now. F.O. went to Bannock yesterday morning to get some of their things out of Annies house FO intended to come back last nigth but theere came up an awful elecktric storm last eveing so he thaugth he better stay so he stayed with Led and Laura Smith overnight FO said theere was big rocks in the road that been washed down by the heavy rain that came with the elecktric storm We had enouph  of the storm here in Malad but FO said it could not be any worst than it was out in Bannock FO said that the grain on Annies land is grand and it will yeild 35 bushell to the acre if theere dont comes a storm or any thing else to destroy it.

            I think we will go home to morrow morning. we have not heard from Arthur yet and I am a wondering all the time where he is at I read in a paper that theese boys that went to Montery was all well but one and he was sick it did not say the name I shall send you your both fat and lean cocking recipees as soon as I get home.

            I just thaugth I write theese few lines to you while I am here or else it would be untill the last off next week before you would hear from me if I waited to write untill I got home.

            This is not much of a letter but it s better than nothing it is so awful hot weather here in Malad It makes me feel awful lazy it is warm down home to but you know our shet trees makes a lot of differents so long with much Love yours as always, you know this undersigned
