I guess I better write a few lines to you even if it is not
my turn. I hope you are not any worser than you were when you left Logan Utah .
Friday
evening Jan 2nd
The above lines you will see for yourself when the were
wrote Sister Maughn came to see me and stayed all afternoon so I did not had
the change to write any more that day and every day since I have been very
buissy and to tired to think, We got your letter written Dec 31 this afternoon
I have written two cards and one letter to you since you left and I dont know
why you have not got them.
yeas the
tax reciet from Malad came a few days after you left and I have put it away. We
have had extreamely cold weather here during x mas week the termonitor showed
40 below zero in Logan and it was colder out here FO said as he was out here to
see how things looked and as I was in to Franks from x mas eve untill Friday
afternoon Abie was with me only when him and F.O. came to gather out to do the
choers We are well and are getting along allrigth, it has been milder Weather
ever since the day after x mas day but it have snowed every day and nigth so we
got plenty of snow here now the snow plows are working all the time to keep the
streets in Logan open Loui Wilhelm and Hamsey been trying to do their best to
keep the streets open out here.
Abie wrote
to you a few days ago and I happened to get to see what he wrote so when you
answer him tell him to leave the trees along the streets alone. We are not
suffering for kindling wood. he do not know that I saw what he wrote so dont
tell him but just say you are glad to hear we are getting along all O.K. but to
let the trees alone as every ax handle in Logan would get broke but you need
not say that either as he is sure a funny boy.
I am glad
Santa Claus remembered you, he remembered me to. I have not been outside the
date since x mas John and Ellen came down yesterday and stayed all afternoon
and to day sister Ormond came down to see me if we were well and how we were
getting along, she asked me how you were now if you were feeling any better I
told her I did not know as you have not told me when you or the girls had wrote but I guess you
are not any worse or else you could not be sporting around.
I hope you
will have a change to go and see Minnies children before you return.
F.O. and
his two children came out yesterday and the children played with the butten box
so I have swept and picked up buttens all day to day well I guess this is all
plaese do not forget what I have said for you to tell or not to tell Abie if he
finds out he will curse me upp and down. I will now close wishing you a happy
New Year. Good Day from dyng kärran.
