My dear folks at Berkeley

How are you to day I wished I knew rigth this minut. I have both heard and read about the big fire at Berkeley the first time I heard about it I went up to Wilhelms yesterday I was invited to a shower on Loreene one Miss Ellis was theere and she said Berkeley was on fire and it was caused by a forest fire and a big wind had blowed burning stuff around. Well of course my first thaugth were of you and I felt like if I have had wings I would of fly over or down to see you and help you but I felt to pray in my hart to our Heavenly Father and I did pray that you been and was out of danger and that no bad concequence may befall you. I did not shut my eyes in sleep all last nigth worrieng over you I hope I will soon hear from you and that you are both well, and how close was the place you were living in to the fire or did it burned down to. The last evening paper stated that there was no lifes lost so I took it for granted that your lives were spared along with the rest I am worried sick before I will hear from you.

I am home all sole alone Pa left here for Bannock yesterday on the 1 45 pm car we had word from Paul Sorenson that he was to thresh the grain on Annies land to day and for Pa to come and bring 250 sacks and help to take care of the grain Pa been sick and was not fit to go but the thaugth mebe Gust or Grace would take him out from Malad and even stay and help him and to take him back to Malad F.O. could not go out he looses to much time and then Ezra Palmer is threshing our grain from the acre to day so F.O. is theere taking care of it. I am doing the schoares [chores] here all but milk F.O. milks before and after work I recived your letter written at Idora Park I was sure glad to hear you were on your to church I pray that the word that is spoken by the servents of the living God may fall in good ground and sprout and bear good fruit, fruit means good work. I like to answer you on your letter but will first wait to hear from you and what Dad says when he comes back home I am sure sorry you will not get any more for your ticket wait to sell it untill after a while if you have not sold it when you get this letter.
