Well

sent for Now a day or so before F.O. went for my laundry your Dad said Ma can I
change or trade with your check and I give you silver I said what different
does it make, he said O, I dont know alrigth where is the dollar and a half so
Pa handed it to me and I gave him the check. I sure thaugth he had spent the
check in Skaggs store but instead he went and bougth two Theer bread leg horn
roosters from Lee Ferguson and put them in our runn [sic] then when he came in
the house and sat down he said I paid Lee the check I traded with you for
silver I said have you not used it before and he said No, I said for goodness
sick what will Lovis think when the check is comming in so late and then Lees
signature is on it, Pa then said Lovis dont care, I said to heck she dont, Pa
said you will have to write and tell her about it, My laundry bill for Nov came
to $1 35 c so I got 15¢ over.
