                                                            May 11—1925

My dear daugther Lovis

            I am owing you a lot off answers but as we have had a feirce electric storm here this forenon that lasted 2 ½ hours and you know how nerveous I get I am late writting but I shall write as much as I get time to before the mailmantime I thank you ever so much for the slant [?] and the nice card I have recived many tokens of love on this Mothers day I have read many Poems along with my dear girls cards and I surely feel very little and that none can be refered to me I feel that I have just done the smallest part in place off a Mother namely to give birth to a few children.

            I hope you are all well, I am glad you sent Joes letter I will send a letter to Grace that he wrote to me at Pearl Harbor and as I got to much enclosed in the envelope already so you can read it sometime when you are at Graces place I am sending you a sermon mebe it wil be a help to you in your mission, I copyed a prayer yesterday and will also send it to you I think it is a wonderful poetry.

            Thanks for helping me about corsets, Ada showed me a pair she bougth in Mose Lewises and she paid $2 for them and so I thaugth If they have my size I bay me a pair as thoose of Adas would be strong enouph for me and they are thoose short ones, to. yesterday I was stirring in soe papers and I found your Pathrialcal blessings amongst them so I will send them to.

            Our sacrament meetings are now to be held in the Sunday evenings beginning last nigth I did not go last nigth I felt to tired and the wind was blowing hard to and it was dark.

            yeas here is the mailman by Veras box so I better close this and write soon again I like not to be distant to my dear baby and I would love to kiss you but I feel that I am to old and ugly so I will close with a lot of love    your Mother

P.S. Myrtle and Henry came home yesterday to spend Mothers Day    They all look find, Myrtle told me to tell you hello

            Earl Ashliman is now Father off a son it got born two weeks ago.   tell Floyd I am looking for some home made hooks and eyes like he just to send to me.
