My dearest Baby
It is way
passed the time that I should of answered your welcome letter We are all glad you are well and are enjoying
yourself Last Sunday I thaugth about you every minute of the day and I have
wondered if you enoyed the meetings wich I hope you did, We are having a big
rainstorm here now it begun to rain and thunder last Tuesday nigth and it kept
upp a raining ever since the ground is so full of water now so it stands on the
top of the ground and the canals and ditches are running over.
Your Dad is
the same you asks whats been the matter with Annie, well she is pregnant and
she begun to flow and she was pretty sick and weak. Dr Eliason he sure stopped
the flowing in a quick hurry he gave her medecine to take whenever she does not
feel rigth and told her to be very careful she is feeling fine now a good deal
better than I do I have now been sick for 13 days I been in bed for 9 days I
guess I have acted unvise and have thaugths I could keep upp working like I be
young at first I took awful headaches and then I got sick at my stomach but
between times I had to work while it been better if I could lay down last
Monday I felt some better untill 4 p m I took an awful cramp in my stomach FO
was here he Phoned to Dr Eliason and he told F.O what we should do he said it
was the cause of overwork but I did not belived it before, some of the things
he said for us us to do we had done already before and some of it we never
thaugth of doing but F.O. stayed and helped me and he got things or the
medecine the Dr said for me to take to I
am upp to day or now it is 10 30 a m but I am as weak so I suppose I shall lie
down when I get this letter wrote my head feels better but I still got a little
grumbling pain in my stomach or bowels I know it is overwork, it has done it as
now or to day when I just lift 1½ buckets of water the same pain comes but not
so hard.
Gus and
Grace came down last Sunday evening Grace do not feel well herself but she
washed dishes and got supper for Pa and themselves and straigthened upp things
around in the house as I had not been able to do any thing for a week they left
here at 9 40 p m the Dr said for me to take paracoric as I am also extreamely
nerveous. yesterday I dreamed I saw you standing outside the kitchen windows
you wore a white leghorn sailor hat and it was trimmed with blue ribbons I
waited for you to come in as I felt to sick to go out but soon I heard the gate
click and you had left then I saw you walking on the street and you had a long
dark skirt on you like sister Jones just to have and it was fastened with a
safetly pin in the back and then I avoke I felt glad I have saw you and I am
imagen I can see you now in that sailor hat.
do not
worrie we are getting along alrigth FO comes upp twice a day and Grace said she
be down but I wrote a few lines yesterday to her not to worrie and wait to come
down untill the storm quitts and the roads have dryed upp a little. give my
love to Floyd, I guess I better close now and I will write soon again remember
us in your prayers and dont forget the singing you and I onece heard, so long
