It is
Sunday evening every thing is qvite around us and before I go to bed I shall
write to you, anyway begin writting a letter to you two sweet kids off Mine. I
have had the blues all day to day but I do not know what over as it been the
kind off blues I get when theere is something going on that is not rigth or like
the blues I had when F.O. cut his foot and I did not knew it untill after it
had happen and he came home walking on crutches. I hope every thing is all well
with you so it is not you I got foreboding about or any one else off my dear
Children F.O. been out home to day he said they were all O.K. and I hope Grace
and them are alrigth John is upp from Myton and he just came from Preston F.O.
spoke to him in town this morning and John said they were all O.K. so I hope my
blues been and is an imaganation after all.
I got such
time to write on such poor paper I change pen every 10 minutes this tablets are
punk paper to write on and then I know it is my hand that is so very clumpsy
and I try to blame the paper and the pen. I looked for a letter from you
yesterday as it seemed to be the time to hear from you. We got the loveliest
weather I have ever known to be this time a year yeas even our chickens are
laying I got 5 eggs to day, something new what’s goint to happe? do you know?
the College people was plowing yesterday below the canel on their land. we had
Gladys and son and her Mother call to see us last week Gladys looks fine and
the baby is a fine boy and smart . you say he is only nine Mounths and he can
say words rifth plane Gladys said for me to tell you hello, they been to see
Elisa King she is here with her Parents and have had a new baby a boy this time
they are all fine. I can not imagen what is the matter with Arthur mebe theere
were the troubble is in 3 more days it will be four weeks since he wrote to us.
I think I shall soon call the Superentendent upp and see what’s the matter.

I hope you are well to day. We are as usual I been making
brine this morning and been running around untill I am tired I want to mail
this letter to you this afternoon. I have sent a small box to you this morning
I sent it with a good meaning and I hope you can enjoy the little token mebe it
will keep good and then if you roast it onece it will keep better and you can
eat it cold, I do not know if I will be able to tell you what Santa Claus left
us this time either as the Mailman is aproching the Watkin man came in and
hindered me the time go so fast I can not get half of the things done that I
like to. It is Graces birthday to day I have given her a nice Book of Mormon
and I have written to her this morning, the mailman is by Sadie Nymans box so I
will close with a lot off love from your Mother

a woolen sweater I knit for Darold in black and red. I gave
Pa a whiskbroom ha ha
A pretty cumunity silver meat fork to F.O. and Annie. and 2
pair off stocking each for their children.
I sent my sister Lovis a box off stationari and Helen a silk
hankirchif.
I sent Joe and Abie each a book and Abie a pair off garters.
I sent Audrey a L.D.S. Hymnbook and her Mother a pretty x
mas card or booklet.
I gave Verna a book and a postal card Album and her Mother a
box of stationary.
I sent Sophie a pretty hankirchif and Eva a pair off
garters. I gave Sister Ormond a pretty hankirchif and the little girl each a
card and a sack off candy. I gav sister Darling a set off vine glasses. and
Earn and Vira a xmas rite. I sent x mas cards to Moster Mina and to a dozen
other friends. I hope I can give better presents next x mas if I live for it
makes me happy to give. I have not got Irene any thing yet Grace promised to
get a little Laundry set for me in Preston to give her but when Grace went to
buy it they were all sold so I go to Logan I got that to get for Irene.

a box off stationari and a hankirchif from Verna
$1 and a sack of Oranges and
chocklat candy from Ada
$2 from Mrs Jennie Eaton Calif.
a pretty cup and saucer from Mrs Sophie Peterson
a set off salt and pepper shakers from Eva
a pair off embroderied pillow cases from sister Orpha Ormond
a nice handtowl from Vera.
a box off Apples from Professor Israelsons.
a bottle off peaches from Jessie [or Dessie] Nyman
Gus and Grace gave us two fruit cakes and one big cake
trimmed and iced to suit the x mas with Merry x mas in words like you know Gus
bakes.
18 x mas cards from relatives & friends.
Jennie Boyles sent me a card and a pretty hankirchif. A
pretty card from Audrey.
This is a loveley bunch off useful gifts I think and I am
thankful for them all and I pray the Lord to bless every one off the givers.
