My dear Baby Lovis.

It is 11 a m Thursday I just got in the house I been out doing choers, your Dad says he is not hungry so I shall while I rest a little write to you before I get dinner. I think I have wrote to you two times since I got your last letter, I get as lone some as the duce so I must write even if you do not write as then I get relifved [relieved] to some extent from the lonesome feeling.

I wonder a dozen times a day how you are and what you are doing and where you are at. I hope you are well and all is well with you both. I sent a small box to you sometime ago I guess it got lost or its contents spoiled or else I heard by now.

We got 16 inches of snow here now and cold weather to but nothing near like we had last winter, it sure makes good sleighing and so we can hear the sleighbells jingle all the time. Your Dad have not been very well ever since New Year he been weak and have not had much off an apetite but he feels better to day he dont go out or get around but very little, We have a fresh cow now the calf got born on Graces birthday [11 Jan] I am wheeling the calf but we have plenty milk left over for ourselfs and for the chickens and I have churned and made 6 pound off butter

F.O. comes out every day and get down hay for me and does other choers, he also beings things from town that we need. I get some eggs every day to, so you see we have plenty to eat. I get along fine only I get tired at times I milk the cow and it goes fine to. I like to go to town but theere is to hard a walking so I guess I must wait to go mebe Grace will come down then she will take me to town.

There has been two babyes born in N. Logan since I wrote to you last, Eugenen Gilgen has give birth to a baby girl and Elisa King is here staying with her Parents and she has a baby Boy that makes two children for Elisa and 3 for Euninies, they are getting along pretty good but the Dr says he can not cure Eunies from the parrabelleses[paralysis?] so the poor girl is in a bad condition.

Dearest Lovis I am verry worried over you that you might get runn down and get hurt or even killed when you are out riding with thoose ladies you speak about for mind you my dear perhaps they dont even belive in Gog or prayes I am so afraid you migth forget your standard with your Heavenly Father and begin to lean to the way off the world, so plaese plaese keep your standard, go riding with your husbaund he will take you and do not get yourself tangled upp to deeply in the Sosity off the world but stay a good and humble and Godfearing girl like you always been. and dont hide your faith in under a basket but let it shine brigther every day.

I shall send you some clippings I thaugth when I read it that you migth enjoy reading them. I got a letter from Abie last Tuesday and he says he got a cold but are working any way he is in the kitchen working, he says he has seen and talked to Superentendant asking for a homeleave and if he gets it it is for one off us to come down to Ogden Feb 7th mebe he can come home for a visit he feels like he been down theere for nine years instead off nine mounths, I have wrote to Grace and also sent Abies last letter to her so mebe she will write to the Superentendent and see if Abie can get out for good it sure brings a bigger expanse on us than we can afford to travel, as now if Abie gets a home leave we must be responsible for him and then pay his and ours expanse traveling to and fro and other things besides and we have it not, darn that Onie Follett and Andrew anyway they have put a big expanse on us besides all the worrie and bad feelings. I be glad if Abie could get out as I know he will help us F.O. will now soon overtake a garage that Veston Vernon is building on 3rd North in Logan and then F.O. can not come out to help us only at nights and that will be to much for him.

It is now 12 30 and so its time to carie water for the cows and give the calf its dinner, and do a doz other things. I send my best love to my dear Floyd I hope he is well. May God bless him and proteckt him while he is out on calls and all every other occasions in his work and al all times.

and May God bless you and me,

so long my dear Lovis

With a lot off love from your Mother

                        C. J. Peterson
