Our dear Babyes

at Petaluma Calif

Lovis & Floyd. your welcome letter of Jan 20 while the cars were taking you to San Fransisco we are glad to know that you are thougthful of us no matter where you are I hope you got back to Petaluma all O.K. This morning before I got out of bed I had a long letter dictated in my mkind ready to send but now it seemes like my mind is all a blank. We had one of our Bishops visit us to day and I got my mind led of in some other direcktions it is now 1 15 pm We had had our dinner, Salmon Fritters and milk bread and butter and Jello. Frank is here now he been to Logan Express Office for us to get a kit of Salt Herring and a bunch of Stockfish it is rather late for Stockfish but it seemes that Pa can not forget that old Country fish so I guess I will have to stand the smell of it and go to work and prepare it. Do you like it? Yeas the name Floyd that was given our new baby was meant to honer Dr White I dont blame Floyd for being plaesed I was plaesed to but I had to lauph Gus got jalious he said why not name the baby after me I was here first ha ha I think the name Gus is to much old Country fide. I told Gus that there vill be more boys a comming.

Frank and Annies baby goes by the name Floyd and Frank just said when they call the Baby by its name it open its mouth and lauphs aloud and smiles. Yeas my leg is bothering me considerable but it si much better now but now it is my back it hurts at times so I am not able to walk straigth but some how I manage to get along day by day. I am thankful Abie got some one of his own so nearby as he got you I hope he vont cause you any worrie or act so he be of a shame and dissgrace, Plaese tell me what you think of him now, in one of his letter he said he migth be sent to Salt Lake but I do not know why I think he be better of where he now is I never heard if the Armei got a Cooking and Baking school in Salt Lake, Well now my dear folks do not be afraid to give him good advise when ever you see a need of it, I pray God to take him or Arthur I mean by the hand and lead him in the rigth  We all got our free agency to choose rigth and wrong but I feel somewhat selfish in Abies case so I ask the Lord to take special notis of him. Yeas the Dickie is fine I am so thankful for it you ought to see how nice I got the table in the little room I got the blue Japane table cover on and the tray in the middle and thena napkin on it and then the pretty vase you sent me for x mas I am going to get ½ dozin of roses from Ruby Scrubie and put in the vase.

here is the mailman so I must close with thanks and love. from your Ma Peterson

Your Dad is no worse or no better.
