My dear Petalumians

            It is Sunday evening 8 p m we just had our dinner been fasting all day I thaugth I write just a few lines again so you von’t need to worrie any more over what I wrote in the last note. Grace feels much better now been sitting up to day she is weak but I can tell she gains a little strength day by day starting yesterday she been a sick sick girl I got a card from your Dad to day saying he is alrigth and that it was a letter from you down home I do not know to nigth when I can leave Grace but I shall write again to you on the usual day Gus and the children are fine and so am I Grace is in my fix like I been in my life I been needing rest but cold not get it but had to get sick to get to lay down.
