                                                            Nov 12 – 1925

My dear daugther Mrs Floyd White + Dr.

It is now 10 45 a m  I am not near through with the morning work in the house as I must help your Dad every day feed the cows and the pigs. I also been picking and sorting out some chickens this morning that br Veireman [?] have promised us to take down to the Butcher Benson I shall sell them and bay feed for the chickens I shall keep, It is always plenty of work to do and the time seeme to pass quickly.

I have recived two letters from you that I have not answered and I am so sorry I am so much behind but I do hope that nothing will now come and hinders me from writting so I can mail a letter to you this afternoon, I got a whole lot of things I want to write to you about and I hope I can remember it all as when I have mailed a letter to you and I have forgoten half off what I wanted to write I dont feel satisfied.

I am sure thankful to know you are both well and buissy work is a pleasure when we stop to consider some other circumstances. your Dad said for me to tell you that you are very folish for being lonesome when you have your good husbaund and live in a nice country in a nice house.

I do not know if I speak the truth if I tell you that we are as usual and are getting along as usual but I do not want to worrie or bother any body, your Dad I think is not very well at times he dont feel strong enough to walk upp to the meeting house I think it be very unvise for us to leave here as it will just make unnessisary expans and bother and troubble Grace do not hinder us or says a word against Pa and I going to Calif but she says the same as we do it will take more than we now got to go so I think we better not plan on going any place but be patience and see what the time have in store for us all.

I feel pretty good now my or the cold I have had is much better the weather here is not so cold now as it have been the snow in the valley is all melted away and the farmers are all buissy plowing we have now some rain instead of snow.

I am so glad to hear about all the charity work that Floyd is doing all the good we do will come back to us as well as the wrong we do if not in this life it will come in the life to come. us Relif Sosity Woman in this Ward have done a little charitable work this last week 14 of us went last Tuesday upp to Esra Palmers and sewed baby clothes for Eugeeus Gilgen as she is not able to sew and her Mother is crowded with other work so we decided to do this little lift I think the whole set was made but the flannells and some of us woman is to take the flannells to our own homes to sew after they been to town to get the material. yeas Lovis Myrtle got dissapointed in not getting a girl.

Last evening theere was a Welcome home part in our Meeting house for our returned missionarys Walter Beutler and Vanetta King We did not go but I know they had a good time you know how long Vanetta been home and I dont know why she did not go back to finish her time so she have just lately got her realise. Theere is two more men called to go on Mission from this ward and one just went a week ago the one that just left was Orion Follett Junior and the ones that is called to go is Alma Olson and Walter Stauffer. To morrow is the day for our Ward to go to the Temple I sure like to go if I in any possible way can go I am so thannkfull to hear you say you can feel the differents in the atmosphere among poeple

Walter Beutler while speaking in our Meeting last Sunday he spoke in the same strain he spoke of the cold world and told us his expirience and bore a humble and faithful testamony and at the same time delivered a splendid sermon.

O yeas Lovis Professor McClellan died some time in the early summer I sure thaugth you have read about it in some Paper I read all the tributes and funeral sermons in the Deseret News and all the sympathizing letters and comfort aht was given and published to the family of that great man.

yeas Abie gets the post stamps and the writting material from the institution, he told me they are only to write one letter a week, and you know that one he usually write to me so you can see for yourself by what spirit he writes in the letter you can find him saying he felt bad when he saw me going down the road along mebe you wonder what road it was,

Wel you know When you go through the big gate from the Main St theere is a road about 2 blocks long that takes you from the gate to the line off the ground were the buildings are build on and that is as far as the boys are allowed to go to and so that was the line Abie took me to he stood theere along seeing me going down on that road to the big gate alone I looked back at him and we waved at each other and that is the road he speaks about

theere could be a lot more I could say about thoose visits but I shall only mention one thing and that is that they surely not furnishes the boys with the clothes the need or should have when they are not at liberty to earn any themselfs I got a few things bougth and picked togather that I shall send to him this afternoon if I have a change to go to town the clothes he had on when he left they are all worn out and we have sent him new overals and shirts before you know he have now been gone for 7½ mounths,

the last time Grace & I was down togather to see Arthur the boys and Abie to of course had hair as long that hung over the shirt collar so Grace told the Suprentendent of it and she said to him like this, theere is sure one thing the boys are blest with here and that is a big crop of hair so when I was down on the first of this mounth the all have had their hair cut and fixed up nice. you augth to see Graces face when she said it and how brown she looked, I noticed the long hairs and I thaugth it was prettyful & awful but I was to scared to speak about it and I did not expeckt Grace to say anything but it sure tickled me to hear her say it the Suprentendent looked down on a paper he had in his hand and did not answer.

I am glad Audrey writes to us all I am owing her a letter now she also writes to Verna.

I sure got to smile when I read about your eating first at one place and then at onother and then at your house eat one pis of the runt chicken for me I know it is good We got one runt of a rooster running around of here FO bougth it in town Annie would not cook it, its tail sticks up croked and when he runns or walk it looks as if he is walking side ways I got to lauph at it everytime I look at it  Pa says lets chop its tail of then it wont look so bad, ha ha

I have not seen or heard any thing of Grace for over 2 weeks only F.O. came out last Sunday evening he said they were all well and very very buissy. I guess I shall soon take the inturban and go to Preston if the dont soon come down,    Now my dear Baby Vis We are no body and there is nothing here comparishing to your circumstances so do not feel lonesome but be happy when you can and be contended always,

It is now 1 20 p m I been all this time writting your letter so now I shall close and go and cook dinner your Dad is sitting by the stove asleep and groaning he is tired he dont sleep very good at nigths

Love to Floyd and yourself from Mother.
