fast meeting in Oakland and recived spiritually food I thank God you are not
afraid to bear your testimony and are not ashamed of being a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint. We had a lovely fast meeting here
in our ward to both your Dad and I was theere and as we all been requested to
pay upp our fastoffring for the year the poeple off our Ward surely responded
as theere was paid $61 that day in fastoffring beside the tithing and I have

I thank
you for the enclosed Memoral Servie and the picture of the Japanese Artist I
like to read about and look at thoose kind off things but how in the world have
that come about that the Temple work been done for this great Artist Hananuma

The Drs

hymn Books but I can not find, “I come to Thee” but the hymn “Lead kindly
Ligth” is in our books The whoole hymn is a prayer to God. you ask for the size

goes by his name at the institution they all call him the big boy.

untill I can travel on my own expanse it seemes the lesser means I have I get
more and more independent I know you vont be long before you come to Utah and
then you can see us all and we all can see you.
Vira
Nelson came last Sunday afternoon to get your addrass she said she wants to
write to you. I hope I did not done any harm by given it to her if I did tell
me and I shall fix it upp the way you want it.
You asks
what is the matter with my back, well I do not know only it sure hurts unless
it is from I am walking to and fro from and to the 9th north as that
is when it hurt the most, one day last week when I was to town and on my way
home I called in to Uncle Sjöstroms
and of course they had me stay for supper they had it late so when I left
theere for home it was 6 30 p m and dark I had stayed a little to long, but as
I was walking slowly along a disscourageing feeling arose in me and I asked
myself how is it that I must walk like this in the fields and an answer came, I
guess I dont deserve anything else so I took stepp by stepp and got home all
safe at 7 30 p m it will not do to give in when disscourige feelings comes but
thank the Lord for health and strength and to be able to walk.
I shall
enclose onother clipping I or a copy off a pis [piece] I eard in the last weeks
Malad paper, if it is true and the[y] dont give upp drilling untill they get to
oil it will be a big help to the Arbon property owners. I thaugth I ask you if
you have the films off the picture you took off me at the cemetary at Oakland
to let me take it I like to have a few finished for x mas.
Well I
could write more but as the mailman is now at Bleackers I must close with ever

[On a little piece
of paper, Caroline had written the following note:]
Gushers Brought in on Moab
In a
telegram to the Idaho Enterprise from S.G. Baker of the Gem State Petroleum
Company, he states, “That a three hundred and fifty barrel gusher had been
brought in on the Moab. Also that they are drilling in hard sandstone, capping
at about twenty one hundred and fifty feet.”
The Moab
structure is of the same geological age as at the Arbon dome. Wet gas was found
in the Arbon and Moab wells at about the same time.” This tellegram gives great
promise for the well at Arbons
