My dear babyes
Floyd and Visha How you be this morning? I hope are
alright. It is 9 15. A m and being Sarturday
I got lots of work to do but as I am way late writting to you I must let the work go and write
before my head gets a burr a burr First I thank you for your letter and the
check enclosed I did not need new glassis your letters is never to long that is
the kind I like.
The
Thanksgiven day is past once more thank goodness altho we had a good good
dinner down to Franks and a thousend one thing to be thankful for not only on
Thanksgiven Day but on every day. It been raining here every nigth for the last
week and it is clear in the mornings and a canion breeze that makes it feel
like a spring mornings this morning it is a little differents it begun to snow
at 5 a m so there is snow on the ground now and the mountains are covered with
snow clear down to the foot hills I guess the snow will soon melt down here in
the Valley as the sky is clear now
I
been home for the last week I stayed with Annie for 10 days the Dr said she was
getting along so well she could get upp and she sure did fine I have never seen
the like where ever I been or seen I went down for 4 more days in the mornings
to bath the baby untill Annie got a little stronger. I have washed a few things
since I got home and I sent the rest to Laundry and F.O. went and got it for me
O I am proud when I get the bundle back all clean and mangled smooth ready to
put away dosent I thank you I could add some more but I get the blues and then
I am done for I know you dont want me to get the blues so I shall stop and
begin to tell you some news. I suppose Abie is now in Camp Lewis Washington a
pretty rouph place I suppose we got a card from him saying he was on his way to
his New Home and would send his addreass when he got there he was
in Pocatello when he wrote and sent the card.
Now
my dears I must ask you to plaese escuse me I can not yet tell you what I want
to but I hope I soon can as I been waiting to long how. I am glad you have a
cat but do not let curiosity kill it take care of it seeing it been willed to
you. O yeas Mrs Bolton will be alrigth she vont have time to worrie, worrie
brings on troubble in her circumstances quicker than any thing else Mrs Bolton
should of come here Dr Eliason told us he had brougth 17 babyes in two weeks I
belive Annies boy were the 14th he told us this when on his 3rd
visit to Annie. this baby is sure cute you remember Shirley how cute she was
well this little man beats her he is well and are growing when it was born
Lewis wanted to know what they was going to do with baby brother I guess Dad
will give him to Grandma thats me you know he thaugth they could not keep both
baby brothers Shirley is dissapointed she been promised Santa Claus would bring
her a baby sister,
Oh
year dear folks if I am well and have the monny to travel on you bet
your boots I come when you have your pojk but you must not
fool me as I am more needed here to help your Dad he is gone to town already
this morning to pay our taxes he walked so slowly down the road F.O. will take
him to town so he only walked to F.O.s place, I told him I go but he dont think
I know to do it rigth and to get lawful reciets.
I
know you must of got awfully surprised when Floyd told you about thoose 5 men
coming to see you how did it come to be 5 as it did not used to be only 2 and 2
I am glad the found you as that is their duty to visit the members of the
Church but I would prefer that they come When Floyd would be at home as we know
suspision is from the Devil and we must be on our guard yesterday I had a
surprise to I was buissy and did not expeckted any body to come, here came
Darold and Cimber Hanson to spend their Thanksgiven vacation with us they were
dressed up to beat the band so I did not now them at firest The caried a big
satsel [satchel] full of every day clothes ready to wear to have a rouph tumble
and 6 loafs of bread Pa got so very surprised he said what in heck is this a
comming they can not play outside to day as it is to wet on the ground they are
now looking at the Montgomery Catalouge and bumping this table I just love to
have them they now got sigth of my wool cards so now I guess I must stop and
demonstrate wool carding now it is done they boy are curious and wonderiy how
it can be done they came down on the inturban mebe Grace will come down to
morrow or else they will go home on the 5.50 p m car to morrow.
I
have had company from Blackfoot Charlie and Bennet been to Salt Lake taking and
seeing their second son to go on the mission he is going to the Southern States
theere were 85 elders leaving Salt Lake last week to go on missions to
different parts of the world Bennets said that theese boys or men all had their
Parents with them to Salt Lake to see them leave they were all happy.
Now
I guess I have taddle plenty so I shall close at last only how did you spend
your Thankgiven Day I guess you and your friend Ida ate dinner togather I hope
thoose folks and you will have many enjoyable times togather. I am curious to
know that compliment as I would hate to kill our Tom he is so fat and pretty
now his fur is black and shinie. O yeas I forgot to tell you that Bishop Hanson
or the Mayor of Preston had an automobile accident a week ago and got seriously
injured this boy Cambrey says his Dad is very sick his whole rigth side is
pushed out of shape and several other cuts and bruses, Oh dear I hate to be him
and I hope he will live with his family.
Well
here some more news you heard I guess about the young woman in Preston that
died in child bearing I guess Grace have told you it was Vida Anderson you
remember her she just to come to our place when she was a girl her husband is
the agent at the Preston Interurban Station she left 3 a 4 children Selma
Lundberg is keeping an 4 years old girl. Selma is almost alone her boy is out
on mission and she have no children only another girl.
will
now close and go to work, will close with ever so much love your Mother. The
boyses gone up to the store to buy candy they got spending money Abie says he
is a regular Soldier now he took his out a few days before he left, let us not
forget to pray for him he is a Military Police he say that were the only place
that were open.
