you asked me in one of your letters
to tell you about sister Carlsons funeral but have forgoten it every time I
have wrote, Well her funeral was the same as her life a very quite and humble,
a few ralatives present and a few flowers covered the casket, all the speakers
spoke of her humble life, Andreas Peterson said he known thoose Carlsons for
over 50 years and he babtized br Carlson and his vife in the old country, 50
years ago, he encourage their boys and girls to prepare themselfs to live a
life so to be able to someday assosiate with their humble but faithful Parents,
the Greenville choir had pracitised so I had hardley every heard better music
and singing there were not manny tears shaded only Johnnie poor Johnnie cried
and cried, Rachel and Parley was present, Orvil and Bessie, Charlie and Nora,
Noras husband was not present at either one of his Father and mothers vifes
burials. Now thoose poor boys feels lost they comes up to Franks house at 9 pm
lots of times and asks for the lend them bread. theere is lots of poor boys in
our ward and girls to I many times wonder what’s the cause, this poor but good boy Howard
Ferguson he came home from Calif this fall and got married and while he was
home his br Delbert used his car and got in an accident and the car was done
for so Howard could not use it any more so Their Father took Howard his vife
back to Las Angelse in his car he been gone for 4 weeks than yesterday they all
came back Howard could not get work so they all decided to come home here,
Howards vife is a Providence girl.

I know he be glad to hear from you.
I been thinking about what you said about moving to San Jose you need not
worrie I tell I know Floyd will like it much better to be alone you know this
partnerships is no good it is worse than to be hired, it were a good thing you
did not had time to build a home before you found out about the business ship
at Petaluma.
I feel to ask you how you enjoyed
your trip to San Fransisco going to Church and if you meet Professor Hickman,
did he know you and were he surprised to see you in San Fransisco I know Floyd
will like him I once walked 3 miles to hear him Preach and I never will forget
the funeral sermon he spoke at Maxwells funeral here in our meeting house.
See did Floyd had any use out of
that old bok wäska I almost feel it was an insult to sent it to him but it was
you Lovis it was not me that suggested for you to take it to Floyd. It is now 11
30 am F.O. have not come yet I guess he will eat dinner before he come and I
shall get a bite of dinner for ourselfs your Dad and myself but see what became
of Mrs Alcott do you ever hear from her?
It will now soon be 2 weeks since
Gus & Grace were down home. F.O. were up to Preston
Monday they were all fine. Gus sent down 25 a 30 bricks for us to help to build
a chimeny Gus will send some more but F.O could not take any more at onece. All
you folks are sure good to us and I like to tell you all it makes life much
easier for us to have such good children and their assosiates so long with much
