My dear Daugther Lovis

It is 1 45 p m I like to write a note if not any more before mail time so to keep you from to much worreing. your two letter been recived and we are thankful to know you are alrigth you must feel a lot stronger now than  you have when you can get around like you write about being here and theere and everywhere in such a short time.

Last Sarturday evening a week ago to nigth I read in the Deseret New about the big wind in San Fransisco and after I went to bed I commenced thinking about you two and the destrucktions  that is visiting the coast I got very nerveous I got upp and wrapped myself upp in a quilt and sat on the trunk until 2 a m then I knelt down and prayed to the Lord to bless and to proteckt you and to take the fear and mebe the imaganary feeling I had away from me so I could go to bed so I felt better but I did not sleep any that nigth. I hope you are alrigth and I pray to God to have His proteckting Angels to go with you and be with you to guard you from the evil and to proteckt you at all all times,

We are as usual and I get along pretty good with the choers when the weather is not to cold last monday afternoon Gus and Grace and Irene camd down in their car we had some thing to eat here and then the[y] vent to Logan and in the evening theere came a big snowstorm so the[y] decided to stay to FOs over nigth the next morning Gus could not start the car it was blocked upp in the snow but some how F.O. got the car out and he took them to Preston but it took them two hours to go between Logan and Preston when at other times Grace have come down in 45 min. theere was so much snow in our place so it took me one hour and a half to shovel my way to the stable and when it cleared off it got real cold the snow and ice cracked in under my feet or shoes when I walked outside.

your Dad is not feeling very well I do belive he is going weaker some days he is dressed and sitting upp and then he is in bed again for a few days, F.O. comes out every day and I am sure that I do not know what I do if he could not come to help me to take down hay and clean the stable he been here to day so I will now get along for a dar or so you know your Dad sold the barn so our hay is all snowed under and it gets packed and froze so I can not handle it it is to hard work for me and your Dad is not strong enouph to carrie a bucket off water from the pump to the cows drinking tub I think it is the cold weather that makes him a little worse.

We are getting along pretty good, you know Gus and Grace have bougth the Piano so we are eating on it now we get our flour from them as they sell it to us by whole sale prize, I can see the mailcarier at Bleakers so I shall close my letter or my note and write more next week My ink bottle froze so plaese exuse lead pencil I have not been able to go to town yet. I was going to day but it begin to snow and blow so F.O. said it was not safe for me to go. I guess your birth day present will come to you June 6th insetead off Feb 6th.

Give my love to Floyd mebe I will do some thing one off theese days that migth surprise him just a little I am enclosing some clippings the old Lady Annies Fathers, Fathers vife.
