My dear babyes
Floyd & Lovis
8 p m, The men just left for
to go to the Preisthood meeting so that leaves me at home alone, I wonder how
you are this evening I suppose you feel rather lonesome now when it is only and
mostly just yourselfs to come and go.
Franklin
and his whole family came out this morning they are all fine F. works on
afternoons this week he helped me hoe in the garden and I fixed launch for us
all before they left. F.O. said he will come out next Wednesday morning and him
and I will go upp to the cemetary and fix up the lots for the Decoration Day, I
am afraid we vont have any lilacs or snowballs to take upp and put on the
graves as they will be all gone by that time but we will have bridal rites
& pionas. I wonder if Gust and Grace intends to be here for the Decoration
Day Well the time will tell.
The
school here is closed now it was 17 graduates from N Logan this year the[y] had
their closing exercises last Friday evening.
Menerva
Law Ormond gave birth to a baby boy last friday I spoke to Hyrum last sarturday
in town and he said they were all fine I want to go and see Menerva but I dont
know when as I have lots off things to do before Grace comes and I can not as
you already knows hurry and get done but just poke along and before I know it I
am to lazy to get ready for to go any wheres.
We got
clearer and warmer weather here now but rather cold nigths and there is a heavy
dew every morning and so when the sun is comming upp and shines on the dew on
the grass it glitters like silver and it looks so pretty.
The
flower seeds you sent me and I planted are now all upp I gave sister Darling a
few off those seeds and she wanted to know what kind they are as she said
the[y] look like squaws seeds and the[y] look like it to when the[y] peep upp
out off the ground I had to lauph when she kept on saying all this as you know
how straigth and forward she talks she looked at me when I lauphed at her I
told her they are doubble holly hocks and we will soon see how pretty they are.
I have planted 36 tomatoe plants and I hope they will grow and have lots off
tomatoes on as we vont have any peaches at all this year as the peach trees all
froze here and in Brigham to and all over ells [else] last winter.
Well my
dear folks it was not my turn this time to write but I thot I like to talk to
you a few minuts in the best way I could and to tell you I love you both even
if I can not show it in deeds and now I will close yours or this letter and go
to work and write to Joe and also tell him I love him. goodnight my dear babyes
your old and foolish Mother
Caroline
