My dear ones at New

and also you seeme to be twice as far away. I suppose the hottest seas is past
for New York
this summer I hope so any way. the nigth between last thursday and friday we
had a big elecktric storm it lasted from 10 p m thursday and kept on all nigth untill 8 a m friday it
ligthning all the timw and roared untill our windows skaked I kneeled down in
my corner in the big room and I prayed to our Heavenly Father to let the storm
pass without any destrucktion and to help me so I could not be to nerveous,
theere never come much rain with it but this storm was a blessing as it cooled
off the air and we have not heard but what it passed without doing any damage
at all.
Gus and
Grace and the children camd down last evening they came for berries from FOs
place only two cases as they can buy the berries much cheaper in Preston 12 qt
for $1 when you pay $1,15 for a case of 12 of them little cups here in N. Logan
I have picked and put up 11½ qt of fresh raspberys from our patch and I have
made some jam, I have just one more small picking to do and then I am through
picking berries for this year. aur astrican apples are ripening but the are
awful small but what there is of them test good, it tastes a little fågel
said the Lady when boiling the stick the black bird been sitting on, ha ha
O yeas I
was to tell you the Johnson family are all well only Grace seeme to feel
mirsable but she dont let on when she read your letter last evening she cryed
and cryed when the left here the called to FOs and stayed there untill 11 30 p
m,
F.O. and
family are all O.K. your Dad is no better or no worse for all I can tell it his
case is a mystery to me sometime when he walks along he walks just as natural
and then again when he sit on them tree stumps in the lane I can tell it is a
hardship for him to even draw his breath, well but days comes and days goes and
we can be thankful everything is as well with us all as it is. I feel we are
greatly blessed, next friday the aged people of Cache Stake is to be taken way
up in the Logan canion for their annual outing but I for one is not a going
unless Floyd promise to come to take me ha ha for when he took us safely to and
down them dangeres roads you know then I trust myself him take us up in Logan
canion Frank is buisy every day or else I go with him I guess we better stay
home and be on the level ground.
