My dearest Baby girl
It is now 1
p m I just got through with the hardest of my morning work and I shall contenue
to work but will first write a few lines to you I wonder how you and Floyd are
to day but I hope you are alrigth. We all enjoy reading your so nice and long
letters I been looking for some of them of Dr Floyd Whites sharks and eyes but
I can not see any well mebe I can soon see some I like to. I am so thankful of
seeing you two are attending meetings I myself for some reason do not
attend meetings as I should the meetings here are now held at evenings at 8 p m
and at that time I am to tired to even get ready.
It was
great you could hear Melvin Ballard speak the world can not apriciate such men
as he is I have not heard him preach since he came back from the N. Western
mission or the N. Eastern I do not remember now just wich place he was to but I
have read many of his sermons. I wish I could have the prevelege you have to
defend the ever lasting Gospel keep on the Lord have chosen you and called you
to accomplish a great mission I pray that you and Floyd now togather be vise and
prayerful and you shall always notice
that those poeple who argue the most against the work of the Lord is the ones
who accept it first or sooner than those who dont argue so do not get
disscourage for God will give you faith and give you strength when you in
humble prayer ask Him who knows best. We have found the straigh and narrow way
that leadeth to life eternel so let us be true and faithful and walk thereon.
Gus and
Dallie came down last evening they stayed here all nigth and left for Preston at 7 a m they are all well and as buisy as buisy
can be. Your Dad is gone to Logan
to bay Potatoes and coffee, Poor man he sat for two hours in our corner on the
street looking for to get a ride so finely here came Lee Ferguson and picked
him up. I wonder if you eve recived a Relif Sosity Magazine I mailed to you a
few weeks ago. I thaugth if be interesting for you to read as there were report
and a picture in it of the Oakland or Berkely Branch how did you spent the
forth? Logan were to celebrate in a great style the had a nice program all
prepare but the weather interfeared it ligthning and rained every now and then
all day so the poeple got drenched with rain I stayed home and worked all day
so you see how Patriotic I am.
July
11—1927 I missed the mailman last sarturday so the best I can do is to write
this morning 10 30 a m so to be sure to catch him. F.O. and family is comming
up for dinner to day we been down there for dinner ever so many times so we
thaugth we ask them for once, you asks me if Grace is sick at her stomach so if
you are Sadie I must be Rike [or
Rika] so we will talk I think Grace is passed the worst in that respeckt
she asked F.O. to tell me to send up your addrass so I sent the two last of
your letters up to Grace so mebe so she has wrote to you herself as I know she
got a lot of things to tell you. I will ask you what W. stands for on your
addrass as I belive I went and wrote West instead of W on one envelope so I did
not sent it untill I asked you if it is wrong to write West. I shall now close
asking the Lord to bless Floyd and you and to proteckt you from all evil that
is in this world and also to help me to be a good woma. Love to you first and
last from ou Mother.
