My dear daugther Lovis
your
welcome letter written Sept 26 been rec and we are thankful to hear you and yours
are well and buisy to, It is now 8 30 pm soon time for girls like me to go to
bed but as I thaugth I do some washing to morrow I better write this evening
and answer your letter. I am sure thankful you rather choose to tend babyes
than go to show on Sunday as a Sunday well spent brings a week of content.
Your Dad and I was invited to FOs last Sunday for dinner so I broke my fasting
at 2 pm wich I should not have done but I fell weak so I yeild to temptation
and ate a good dinner we had beef roast and brown gravy, mashed potatoes and
corn what Annie put up herself chillie sauce, Prune Preserve, bread &
butter & tea and pumpkin pie. this above was good enough for a king. Was it
not Floyd & Lovis? Annie feels fine she is a surprise to me she washes,
irons, scrubs, and bakes and cooks & she looks good in her face Gorgia have
finished that little dress you gave Annie and Annie showed it to me it sure is
cute, Grace have given Annie tow little flannell nigth gowns, and I shall bay
tow or three shirts as soon as I get a change to go to town I love to throw in
my mite along with the rest of you. the children are all well now little baby
br soon got well soon after Grace & helped Annie to Dr on him he was upp
and around the next day.
FO is
working down to the spur he got a good job he is taking care of the mortor and
the machinery that elevates the cars and wagons to load and unload the beets,
and now what do you know Vera and Agnes have the job of weighing beets Vera
runns past here on foot at 7 15 am every morning I guess Ern and Vera intends
to get rich. I am glad to see Vera so well. Poor Uunious she is to bed now and
sick I bet that is a big trial for Joe and also for the whole family. I have
seen Ellas baby it is the cutest of all Ellas babyes it is as good as gold Ella
looks well she intends to go to Bannock in a few days. Esther got married last Sartuday
in Pocatello Pa and I had printed invatation to come to
the weeding but as usual we could not attend. Willie S. vife told Grace and I
that Ester was to marry a very nice man.

seeme pretty good now again he eats and sleeps as if he was well but he dont do
any work FO comes up at 5 45 am and he does the morning choers. thank you for
offering yourself to help me fast and pray for your Dad, I guess at present it
be blaspheme to fast but I guess Pa is sick enough at the best but I will let
you know later. you did not say in your letter if you wanted me to send the
wool I guess you had enough to take care of any way in moving you tellme next
time you write. we found a belt in the grass by the clothes line that belong to
one of your housedresses I will send it to you in with the wool. Have you got
slimmer so you can wear your dresses? Thanks for the card you sent and the
clipping it was all very nice of you to send it I like to read and look at nice
things. I shall enclose some clippings and I hope I dont make any offence. I
shall now close with love to Floyd and to yourself Your Mother.
My back get cold at nigths I miss your Sun so very much I
have not answered your letter in full but I shall do it next time I write to
you good night my dear baby x x x x
It is now 10 pm way time past for the ligths to go out I do
not know if your Dad intends to go to Calif this winter of not I know I cannot
leave here as then our things will not go rigth at all. we got the coal shed 3
forths full of coal so I think it best for us both to stay here and help to
burn it as it is hard to know what time got in store for us.
