My dear folks at Petaluma

It is now 10 45 am and I shall write before I do another lick I am sorry I am way behind answering your letters We are so glad to hear you are fine wich is realy the first to be and then the rest generally will follow. your two last letters been very fat and as I am rather fat myself I like them kind of letters I got thoose letters on the table before me now and shall answer as much as I can before the mailman time.

Last week I was awfully buisy on Monday sister Maughn and I went a teaching and in the evening I went to Relif Sosity Meeting, Tuesday I went up to the meeting house to help to sew for Hasel Hursts vife 20 of us woman we made four quilts and some baby clothes we stayed all day. Wednesday I went to report meeting and when I got home I was so tired I could not think my head felt like a rock. Thursday I cleaned out the chicken coop besides straigthen up the house, Friday I washed 3 pair of blankets 8 pair of wollen stocking 2 pair of ovarals 1 pair of codyroy pants for Pa and some colored clothes such as shirts for Pa and aprons and dresses for me and my gray sweater needed washing to it stormed so badly so I could not hank out the clothes so I had that to do Sarturday and as luck would have it I just got the clothes all dry and in when here came onother storm & it have stormed ever since we have now had rain snow and wind for 7 days and nigths last Wed nesday we had a thunderstorm and hail storm. Last Friday F.O. had orders to come to Salt Lake to be examined his condition is not very good he will soon undergo an operation to get his ear drum taken out but as he is to notify the Drs before or when he comes F.O. says he vont be very angssious to go so vey soon our poor kulla it is always something and he sure got his trials and our children, troubble is our trouble. Do you belive it? I guess you do.

I am or we rather are glad you got the check and also the little box and parsel, yeas I made the little table cover and the little blue hankirchif Vera gave it to me for xmas she gave me two so I gave Grace the other one the work on them Vera have done it herself and so I thaugth it be nice for you & Grace to have, but I vont like for Vera to find out I gave them so plaese remember not to mention it to her for fear she would not like it. I apriciate them and when I gave them to my girls it is the same as to myself. your Dad says it was a vision you had as you are entitle to them or you are gifted in that line you remember I know what you and I heard onece opon the time. I guess this vision you saw was the morning after Darold and his Dad been babtized the nigth before, the Bishop Hanson told Grace that he babtized many but he had never seen a more beautiful sigth as when Father and son vere baptized at the same time Darold were dressed in that little white suit that I have made you remember it and that our boys as well as many other family boys here in N. Logan have been babtized in. Grace said Darold had a white tie on and his hair were comed back slick and that is how he combs it now for every day. I wanted to come to Preston to witness this babtizmen but Grace told me no as I would make to much fuss I knew ever since last September about Gus asked to be babtized but something came to hinder it evey time they were ready to go. I will tell you how it all come about. Grace intended to take Darold to the Temple the first babtisment day after he were 8 years old, Darold, Grace and I had our recommends and vere already to go then Gus spoke up and said to Darold, Darold if you will wait your Dad will go with you to get babtized to and you can imagen how happy this made us all to feel, but as I have already mentioned the time went on and of course now as Gus was to be baptized out in open water and they were redy to go here came word the water were drained of, the next time they were ready Bishop Hanson had an automobile accident and were awful badly hurt so it took him sometime to get better, than Grace got sick than Grace got sick again with measels and be4 Grace was all better here Irene took the measels & then Gus got the measels so there the time went on for weeks and weeks but finaly the glorious time come on Jan 31. two hours after it happened or b4 Grace left the store to close and go home she wrote and mailed a letter to us and told us what happened and how happy she was she felt as if her feet did not touched the ground when she walked and she said in her letter, Mama you have told us children you have prayed for one certain thing for 4 years and your prayer been answered now I have prayed for Gust to get a desire to join the Church for the last 10 years and now I feel more yeas more dubbely paid and now I hope we can unitely obey princip by princip and be happy for eve. The Lord loves us all and have not respeckt to person be it high or low rich or poor and that’s why I am what I am a beliver in God and in His Son the Saviour Jesus Christ and His teachings that if we obey His teaching we will be saved in this world and in the eternal world to come. just one more word about the vision, at first when I read Darold I said to Pa it must be Harold but then I or we read again and again it were Darold now I shall tell you how I got to town that morning I went to Bank, F.O. came up the evening before and Pa said Frank I want you to take Ma to town to morrow at 10 a m and Frank said yeas alrigth and so sure he came and down we went, when I got out of the bank and also from the Postoffice Frank said to me, Ma have you bougth the whole Bank I laupped and told him all about and Frank said, it is good that yo9u can or will help us all out, I said you are all more than welcome to what little we can do.

I am glad you had a good time on your birthday we thaugth of you all day, thoose cinnamon rools we sent got to big in the shape but as I would not have had time to make some the rigth size I had to send them thinking you could cut them smaller if some one should see them.

Now I like to ask you a few questions, Do thoose Mormon Missionaries live in the same house as you do or do your land Lady have more than one house? What do thoose men do ? Do they hold street meetings or spread thoose mormon Pamphlets or what do they do. I am glad Abie is alrigth I been worrieng about him as we have not heard from him for the last 3 weeks I wonder what his work really is now, and I wonder if he gets any pay or how he is getting along he do not write much about himself when he writes he only writes a few lines to let us know he is still kicking.

Well I know even if this is a 4 page letter that I have not answered your letters in full but been making other rambling remarks so I will leave it to onother time as I want to write a few lines inspecial to my other baby.

Now my dear Floyd I pray that your plans for the future will be alrigth I understand your baby vife is alittle unruly ha ha I got a baby husbaund that is quite unruly to ha ha so what shall we do to them ha ha turn them up and spank them or is it to late ha ha We know we love them and we could not very well be without them. Your kråk fötter [crow's feet] looks good to me Lovis knows the interpretation and I love to look at them and I readn them over & over again and again so plaese make some more of them.

The sun is shining rigth now for a change theese high montains looks real pretty when the Sun shines on the ever greens and the white snow all around them from the top to the low foothills the snow down in the valley is nearly all melted away. We are as usual. Do you like coffee yet? so long with ever so much love to My dearest babys Floyd and Lovis from Ma Peterson.
