Hello Lovis
how are you this morning It’s 9 30 a m and I am tired enouph already this
morning to sit down so while I do so I shall write a few lines your welcome
letter wherein you was telling me about your bed clothes been recived and I thank you for it I am wondering how you
al are & what you are doing to day but I sincerly hope you are all well. Abie
and I are well Arthur is helping Jim Maughn this morning to saw wood so I am
here alone,
We
have had a whole week of nice weather the people is plowing on their farms and
preparing their land for the planting of their garden but it is cloudy to day
so it looks like it migth storm and that will be good as the roads are dusty. I
went to town yesterday for flour and bran and when I meet a car or a team I could
not see the horse for dust.
Franklin
was sick all last week and could not go to work his ear busted open last
sarturday and he had two Drs treaten it sarturday after noon he was in great
pain but he felt better yesterday and was up to the garage where he works the
drs took an axray of his ear and head and had it sent to Salt Lake and the dont
know yet if an oparation will be nessisary, so theere is always something to
worrie over. Annie and the children is sick to they have a cold I was down
theere all last Sunday and a part of the
time yesterday they have a cold Lewis had the croup, Shirley had the cancer and
high fever the baby have nursed the cold from Annie and he got a bad cauph but
he seemed some better yesterday. he smiled when I spoke to him and he had
nursed and slept better during the nigth.
I
wonder where abouts your Dad is now and what he is doing. you know I just dread
the time when he will be home a hollering and finding fault with everything but
we can not help it as we have done the best we could while he been gone and we
have tried not to complain about anything at all even if our neabors been
wondering how we could get along during such a horrid cold weather and so much
snow but we been blest with good health. I have not even had a cold or cauph
only I got my feet froze but they are better now so I can wear my shoes.
I spoke to Vera last Monday she said she had
got the card and book you sent and the reason why she had not answered is that
she wanted to finish a sofa pillow she was painting for you but have not been
able to get the paint of the same color she wanted so to finish it so she
showed me another coushon she is now going to paint so mebe so she will send it
to you, I gave her your present addrass so I gues you will soon hear from her.
I
dont know if I told you about sister Crokston having a stroke well she is
almost helpless yet they have a trained nurse staying theere all the time and
Pher comes out every day Pher is leaving Logan March 15 for the east he is
going away for 3 mounths to study more about his profession cora was to Annies
yesterday and poor girl it vont now be long before she will be sick and that
other baby can not walk yet but she gets up by the chairs and falls down but
Annie said she dont get hurt as she got such short legs so when she falls she
dont got very big space to fall to and she is as fat as a fatty Johnson.
I
bet Floyd is a very bussy man I bet he dont walk one step but is on the run and
jump al the time and I dont see how he does it all. I bet the Johnsons are
still very buissy as it has now been some time since I had a letter from Grace
that bakery below the inturban station here in Logan is shut down so Max is the
only baker here now again he is like the Budges so theere is no change for any
one else in their profession.
well
I suppose I have rested long enouph now so I must get to work give my best Love
to everybody and you except and acre full of love and x ses all for yourself
from your Mother
C.

P.S. write soon plaese and dont play
cards any more. I am glad to hear about President Grants sermon as it is his
duty to warn and teach the world and then they can not exuse themselves saying
they have never heard the Gospel or the plan and the principles for theirs and
our salvation I thank the Lord for His blessings and faith and the
knowledge He has blest us with. so let
us be diligant in doing his will and help His work along.
