Gus and Grace and the children came down home on the 24th at 2 p m we had a nice dinner in the evening and Coffee and fresh doughnuts and cookies in the afternoon Franklin and Annie was here with us to and their children, thoose Ladies from Preston did not come as Mr Hanson was very sick. Gus went back to Preston at 10 p m on the interurban and Grace and the children stayed here for 3 days so the[y] left last evening at 6 30, I have had a good rest and a real good time we intended to all eat dinner here yesterday we killed 2 chickens last Sarturday and boiled them so it vould not be so much to do yesterday only to make the dressing and roast the chickens and cook the vegetables, and have red mush for desert with cream. and so after all Frank and family could not come as Annies Father is sick and was taken to the Hospital yesterday so they were to Wellsville. Mr Poppleton got the Kangagreen in one of his feet he is 80 years old so they] are very much afraid of it well we can not expeckt to live forever and theere is always something that comes to hepp [help] to take us away.

I forgot to tell you Grace gave me $10 and enouph cake, bread, and stuff such as coffee, Salmon, cheese to last us for two weeks or more,

Franklin says for me to tell you not to be so dissapointed because Grace dont write as when she comes to N.
