My dear daugther Lovis

Just got a few lines in add to what I wrote July 20th. I know you are or will wonder why you dont gets a letter.

My intention was when I wrote on the 20th to finish the letter on the 21st and mail it in the afternoon, I was out picking berries that day untill I saw a car turning in to ward our place the[y] opened the vire gate and come down our lane and the folks gout out and begun to vave with their hankirchifs at me and walking down to wards me I was in the berries untill then and who should it be but the McGill folks the whoole family so you see I have not had one change [chance] to sit down to write but they went to Preston to day they wanted me to go with them but I rather stay home and write and get a little rest and go to Preston when I can stay a couple off days the folks will all be back to nigth.

Thanks for the letter I recived last Wednesday I was glad Floyd got back from Monterey all O.K. and for all the kind and encouraging things off what that letter contained. I like to write now and tell you or rather answer you on that letter but honestly I am so very tired in my head so I will wait to answer it when the company have left.

We was going to go to the Temple to day Gust was going to do the work for his father who is dead and Lovis and I was going through for some one else. I had my recomend all signed and our clothes all ready and when we came to the Temple it was closed being the 24th we all got very dissapointed I guess they vont get that work done before the[y] go home they migth leave here next Monday and the Temple is closed untill next Wednesday mebe the[y] leave before as not they went to Preston to day instead off to morrow.

nearly all of N Logan is celebrating the 24th upp to the College but Pa and I did not go it got to late for us after us comming from the Temple and I dont care much about going any way. We have had some very hot weather here yeas the heat been so awful that poeple have died from it two men in Lewiston died form the heat last week and the druggist Riter here in Logan died very sudden it is thaugth he died from the weather also.

last Wednesday nigth we had a fierce elektric storm and it has been cooler since the wind is blowing this afternoon so mebe so we will get more rain I wonder if you folks are moving now well I hope you will get all kinds off luck and happyness  I guess I better close my letter and got to work, I got such an awful poor pen to write with I wonder if you can read this writing I shall try to get some better pens pretty soon.

F.O. and family came out this forenoon and your Dad went with them in to Uncle Sjostroms so I am here all sole alone. Franks children begges Frank to take them to Grandma Peeters thats what Shirly calls me so here the[y] come every day oftner than every other day the baby is cute he got two teeth now and he roolles [rolls] all over the floor when Annie puts him down on the rug and he tried to creepe it is Annies birthday next Sunday, she asked me to come in but if the folks stayes I can not go but I would sure like to go Annie and F.O. gave ma pair off slippers and a pair off stockings son my last birthday

so long my dear baby Lovis with Love to Floyd and to yourself from your Mother
