Hello my dear Lovis here i am again writting to you ha ha ha, It is 2 p m on onother day I been bottling my chilli, made sweet Swedish pickles the kind Gus like and I have also put upp some tomatoes all this mornign so I am tired already to day I am through putting upp tomatoes now as I got 40 quarts and I am glad as the peaches are so ver scache [Swedish for scarce?] this fall I think FO payed $3 50 [$3.50] for one bushel off them, Brigham had their peaches shipped in for Peach Days from other places, it is now one year since you were here, how quick has the time passed for you sometime I think it been a long year and sometime I think it can not possibely be a whole year since Grace left here for Berkeley.

F.O. and the children been out this morning and so I had a good change [chance] to take Shirlyes masure [measure] I took her around to the crab apple tree while Pa and F.O. was sitting in the house talking and having coffe and cookie. I shall enclose the masure ment. We got lovely weather here now, Lee Ferguson is here to haul in the hay we will only get one load this crop and that is the last for this year as fall is here rigth away,

in one off your letters you asked me how Gilbert was going to Calif, he was going in his car. We have about 25 leg horn roosters running around her Pas said this morning if he knew how to do he sure would fix them, I think we will sell the most off them and keep the rest for Thanksgiven we have not had one fry yet only one very young when Lee was cutting our lusern [lucerne] by the barn this bird was a sitting a hiding in the lusern [Lucerne] and Lee acedently cut both off its legs off just below its knee and Pa notice it rigth away and cut its head off or killed it.

I have heard from Joe at last I been worreing ever since as he wrote about him falling in Love and was going back to Australia I am afraid he is in earnest but I hope he is just a fooling, Arthur is fine I heard from him yesterday, Nephi Christenson and vife been to see Arthur as the[y] went through Ogden and they said Arthur was plaese to have them call, and that he was well and seemed to be getting along alrigth. Well as I wrote a long letter to you í gär [Swedish for “yesterday”] I shall quitt now Slocum [flower] is in sigth Love Love from Mother.
